Who cares for your toddler
Who will look after my toddler in Saplings?
Saplings educators guide two and three year olds with warm, patient coaching, narrating play to build new words and helping with each new skill, from pouring a drink to tidying up.
In Western Australia the law requires at least one educator for every five children over 24 months and under 36 months (ACECQA ratio table). Ask on your tour how Saplings is staffed through the day.
New to Everwood, or moving up from Seedlings? Tell us the rituals and routines that matter at home and we will bring them into the day. Your child’s interests move with them from room to room, and you are welcome to visit during the day.

What your toddler learns
What will my toddler learn in Saplings?
Between two and three, curiosity becomes conversation. These Saplings programmes turn it into learning through busy hands, new words and play.

Early STEM Play
Magnets that dance, ramps that roll and water wheels that whirl. Hands-on science games spark cause-and-effect thinking and strengthen little fingers for later writing.

Language Burst
Daily story circles, baby-sign and song-rich transitions help turn new words into confident sentences, while educators narrate play to build two-way conversation.

Mini Makers Atelier
Up-cycled tubes, gears and real hand tools invite toddlers to design, build and take apart, sharpening fine-motor control, early maths and problem-solving.

Mandarin Minis
Ten-minute Mandarin song-and-story sessions where toddlers greet friends, count dumplings and act out animal names with puppets, celebrating Australia’s cultural mosaic.

Food and garden
What will my toddler eat? Veggie Patch to Plate.
Our on-site chef cooks fresh meals every day, and in Veggie Patch to Plate, Saplings grow some of what they taste.
Tiny hands dig, plant and pick in our raised veggie beds, then carry the harvest straight to the kitchen for toddler-friendly tastings. From seed to snack, children learn where food comes from, practise fine-motor skills and try fresh flavours they have grown themselves.
Tell us about allergies, intolerances and dietary needs at enrolment so the kitchen can plan around them.
