How do I enrol my child at Everwood?
Book a tour first, then complete the Everwood enrolment form on Xplor. We’ll guide you through the process on your tour and answer questions about days and start dates.
Is there a waitlist?
Whether there is a waitlist at Everwood depends on your child’s age group and the time of year, so it is worth asking early. Call 08 6150 4922 or ask on your tour about places in your child’s room and your preferred start date.
Can my child attend part-time?
Yes, families can book full-time or part-time days at Everwood. Ask on your tour which days are available in your child’s room.

Fees and the Child Care Subsidy
What will it cost? Start with your subsidy.
How much are Everwood’s fees?
What you pay at Everwood depends on the days you book and your Child Care Subsidy (CCS). For an estimate, use our CCS calculator, and we’ll confirm current fees on your tour.
Does Everwood accept the Child Care Subsidy?
Yes, Everwood is an approved Child Care Subsidy (CCS) provider, so eligible families pay a reduced fee. Our team can help you understand how CCS applies to your family during enrolment.
How many subsidised hours will we get under the 3 Day Guarantee?
Under the 3 Day Guarantee, from 5 January 2026, families eligible for the Child Care Subsidy get at least 72 hours of subsidised care a fortnight for each child. You get 100 hours a fortnight if each parent does more than 48 hours of recognised participation a fortnight, and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children also get 100 hours. How accurate is the CCS calculator?
Everwood’s CCS calculator gives an estimate only. Your actual Child Care Subsidy is worked out by Services Australia, and we’ll confirm Everwood’s current fees on your tour.

A day at Everwood
What will my child’s day look like?
What meals are provided, and what do I need to pack?
Everwood’s on-site chef cooks fresh meals every day, including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, with menus that rotate with the seasons. Please bring a labelled water bottle, a wide-brimmed hat and spare clothes. For babies, bring feeding bottles and formula or breast milk as needed. Parents and carers are welcome to join their child at our breakfast bar.
Can Everwood cater for allergies and dietary needs?
Yes, Everwood caters for allergies, intolerances and dietary needs, including cultural dietary requirements. We record your child’s needs at enrolment, and our kitchen prepares alternative meals when needed. Educators are trained in allergy management and anaphylaxis response.
Will my child’s nap times match home?
Yes, we coordinate your child’s nap times at Everwood with those at home, so their day stays consistent.
How will I know how my child’s day went?
Everwood uses Xplor and EarlyWorks for family updates. Ask our educators how information about your child’s day is shared. Our educators are also just a chat, text or email away, and we hold family information evenings through the year.
Can I visit during the day?
Yes, Everwood has an open-door policy, so you’re welcome to visit, call, join your child for breakfast or help on an excursion.
What happens if my child gets sick at childcare?
If your child becomes unwell at Everwood, we’ll contact you straight away to arrange collection. Children with contagious illnesses, such as gastro or conjunctivitis, need to stay home for the recommended exclusion period, and we’re happy to talk through our illness policy on your tour.
What are the educator-to-child ratios in WA?
In Western Australia, the required ratios are 1:4 for children from birth to 24 months, 1:5 for children over 24 months and under 36 months, and 1:10 for children from 36 months to preschool age (ACECQA ratio table). Ask on your tour how each Everwood room is staffed through the day.

How will my child learn and grow here?
What is Everwood’s approach to learning?
Everwood is Reggio Emilia-inspired: learning is child-led, grows through projects and is supported by rooms and a garden designed as a “third teacher”. Our programme is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). How Everwood uses the Reggio Emilia approach.
How does Everwood prepare children for school?
Everwood’s Gumnuts kindy room for 4 to 5 year olds builds school readiness through inquiry maths, phonics-rich storytelling, nature science and collaborative projects. Before that, Tall Trees (3 to 4 years) builds early literacy, numeracy and social skills, and educators work with families on each child’s move to school.
What qualifications do Everwood’s educators have?
Everwood’s team includes degree-qualified early childhood teachers, diploma-qualified educators and Certificate III educators, and the owner, Issy, is a qualified teacher. A first-aid-qualified staff member is always present at the service.
Is speech pathology included?
Yes, speech pathology is included at Everwood: qualified speech pathologists visit every week and work alongside educators on speech, language and social communication, at no extra cost for enrolled families. What is the Monday movement programme?
Every Monday, Brenda Beckley, an Early Childhood Movement and Development Specialist, runs play-based movement sessions with each room at Everwood. It is included at no extra cost for enrolled families, with no booking needed, and activities match each child’s stage. About the movement programme.

What outdoor spaces does Everwood have?
Everwood’s outdoor spaces include nature-based play areas, sandpits, climbing structures, garden beds and shaded areas, and children help tend raised veggie beds. Nature is part of every day.
