Tall Trees Room — Preschool, Ages 3–4

Curiosity now stretches into big questions — “how”, “why”, “what if?”. In Tall Trees we blend project‑based inquiry, early literacy and joyful numeracy so children build the confidence to test ideas, collaborate with friends and speak up for themselves.

Our Tall Trees preschool program at Everwood Early Education in Forrestdale is designed for children aged 3 to 4 who are ready to explore deeper learning through play. Located just minutes from Armadale, Harrisdale, Piara Waters and Hilbert, our centre offers a warm, nurturing environment where qualified educators guide each child at their own pace. With small group sizes and intentional teaching moments woven throughout the day, children develop the early literacy, numeracy and social skills they need for a confident start to kindergarten. Every week includes a balance of structured learning, creative expression and outdoor exploration across our purpose-built indoor and outdoor spaces. Families in the 6112 postcode area trust Everwood to prepare their children not just for school, but for life.

STEAM Explorers

Magnetic tiles become bridges, colour‑mixing turns water into “potions”, and digital microscopes reveal leaf veins. Hands‑on science, technology, engineering, art and maths weave together to build reasoning skills and ignite a lifelong love of discovery.

Project Circle

Weekly long‑term projects let children plan, research and present. Topics spring from their questions—volcanoes, recycling, favourite animals—so every voice counts and outcomes live on display boards that celebrate collective learning.

Friendship Toolkit

Role‑play, emotion cards and collaborative games teach sharing, negotiating and problem‑solving. Children learn language for feelings and practise resolving conflicts, laying the groundwork for resilient friendships at school and beyond.

Garden‑to‑Table Snacks

Tall Trees tend veggie beds, chart growth in journals and pick produce for our chef. From seed to plate, they connect nutrition with nature, expanding palates and numeracy (weights, measures, counts) in one delicious loop.

Mindful Movers

Short yoga flows and breathing games between play blocks sharpen focus and body awareness. These calm‑down rituals equip children with self‑regulation tools they can carry into prep and primary classrooms.

Community Helpers Week

Parents and local volunteers—fire‑fighters, nurses, tradies—visit to share real‑world skills. Children role‑play jobs, ask questions and see how their budding abilities can help their community.
