Inside every room
What will your child do all day?
Everwood is mum-owned, teacher-led and inspired by Reggio Emilia, so learning follows each child’s curiosities rather than a one-size-fits-all programme.
Educators notice what your child is fascinated by and weave it into play, stories and projects, indoors and out. An on-site chef cooks fresh meals every day.
Qualified speech pathologists visit every week to work alongside our educators, and Brenda Beckley, our Early Childhood Movement and Development Specialist, works with every room on Mondays. Both are included at no extra cost for enrolled families.

Getting ready in Tall Trees and Gumnuts
At 3 to 4, Tall Trees builds early literacy and numeracy through project-based inquiry, rich storytelling and outdoor adventures, ready for the kindy year ahead.
Then Gumnuts, our kindy room for 4 to 5 year olds, works on school readiness through inquiry maths, nature science, phonics-rich storytelling and team projects, whichever school your child moves on to. See the Gumnuts kindy room.

Questions parents ask
Childcare near Harrisdale, your questions answered.
How far is Everwood from Harrisdale?
Everwood is about 6 minutes from Harrisdale by car, 5.4 km via Nicholson Road. Google Maps times two slower routes, via Armadale Road or Skeet Road, at about 8 minutes. All three were measured outside peak traffic, so allow a little longer at drop-off time.
Which room would my 2 year old be in?
A 2 year old would usually join Saplings, our room for children aged 2 to 3. Loose-parts play, early STEM provocations and warm guidance turn questions into collaboration and growing independence. In WA the required ratio for children over 24 months and under 36 months is 1 educator to 5 children (ACECQA). See the Saplings room for toddlers.
What are Everwood’s opening hours?
Everwood is open Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 6:00pm. Some directory websites list other times, but these are the hours on our Google Business Profile and the ACECQA register.
Is there parking for drop-off and pick-up?
Yes, Everwood has on-site parking for families at 30 Anstey Road, Forrestdale. You can park, walk your child in and be on your way.
How does the 3 Day Guarantee affect our Child Care Subsidy?
If you are eligible for the Child Care Subsidy, the 3 Day Guarantee gives you at least 72 subsidised hours a fortnight for each child, from 5 January 2026. That rises to 100 hours where each parent does more than 48 hours of recognised participation a fortnight, and for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children (Services Australia). For your likely out-of-pocket cost, try our CCS calculator or ask on your tour.
